Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to embark on a two-day working visit to Lagos on Wednesday and Thursday, during which he will inaugurate six major infrastructure projects completed by the state government.
The announcement was made by Gboyega Akosile, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. In a statement shared on X, Akosile described the projects as “iconic, transformative and legacy developments” delivered by the Sanwo-Olu administration.
Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LASG) building in Alausa, the Lagos State Multi-Agency Complex, the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, the Maracana Stadium, and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo.
According to Akosile, the visit will also serve as an opportunity for residents to welcome the president as he commissions projects aimed at improving infrastructure and public services across the state.
Also speaking on the development, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, Commissioner for Transportation, noted that the projects are designed to tackle key infrastructure challenges. He explained that the Opebi–Mende–Ojota Link Bridge will help reduce traffic congestion and provide alternative routes for motorists in areas such as Allen, Opebi, Maryland, and Ojota.
Osiyemi further highlighted that the Geographic Information Service building will improve land administration through digital systems, while the Multi-Agency Complex will house additional government parastatals within the state secretariat.
He added that the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo is expected to boost agro-trade with modern storage and trading facilities, while the upgraded Tolu Schools Complex now features new classrooms, ICT labs, and sports facilities.
In addition, the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle includes 19 mini football pitches aimed at promoting grassroots sports development.
Overall, the visit is expected to spotlight ongoing infrastructure expansion and urban development efforts by the Lagos State Government.
